A Rose by Any Other Name Assemblage — Mixed-Media Assemblage

A Rose by Any Other Name is a handcrafted mixed-media assemblage by Sarasota artist Debra Rich, created for a Collaborative Art show exploring the theme of connections. The piece celebrates the rose through layered, three-dimensional detail and botanical-inspired elements. The assemblage features a paper backing, iridescent buttons, fabric leaves and vines, a central fabric flower, metal butterfly charms, small gold beads, and a hand-painted frame finished with sponge painting and dots of paint. The work is designed to suggest the connections flowers create with one another and with the natural world, inspired by the show's theme of connections. Framed and ready to hang.
