This black-and-white photograph captures a smartly dressed couple strolling along New York City’s Fifth Avenue during the annual Easter Parade on March 23, 1913, showcasing the opulent Edwardian-era street fashion of high society. The woman wears a long draped gown paired with white formal gloves, a long tassel accessory, and a prominent bonnet adorned with large, dramatic white feathers, while the gentleman sports a tailored overcoat, formal suit, top hat, and a walking stick. Captured by George Graham Bain’s news photography agency—one of America's first news picture services—the original image is preserved in the George Grantham Bain Collection housed at the Library of Congress.
