In this image, green traffic safety cones are shown. Upon first glance, questions like, “What are they doing there?” or “What’s their purpose?”. Those were my initial questions, too. However, upon looking into this, I found out that it was actually for a political rally being hosted by UTEP for the current Texas elections. This, to me, shows how UTEP allows its students and community members to be involved with people who will directly impact their environment. If someone had no curiosity about the cones or their weird placement, they could miss an opportunity to meet a mayoral candidate during their rally being held that same day. Additionally, it shows the security and organization UTEP is capable of.
