To me, being a UTEP student means being part of a diverse community that values involvement and unity. This photograph captures an Earth Day event on campus, with the American and Texas flags flying above students gathered to promote environmental awareness. The flags remind me of our shared identity and the opportunities we have to make a difference in our community. As a UTEP student, I appreciate how events like Earth Day bring people together beyond the classroom, allowing us to learn new things, connect with others, and get involved in activities outside our fields of study. I also appreciate that these events are family-friendly, allowing us to share these experiences with our loved ones. I hope UTEP continues offering activities like these because they help me feel more connected to the university community and proud to be a Miner.
