To me, being a UTEP student means having a place where I can pursue my educational goals while embracing my role as a mother. As a nontraditional student, I appreciate campus spaces where my children and other families can feel included. This photograph reminds me that the university experience extends beyond classrooms and academics. It is also about feeling welcomed, connected, and supported despite our different backgrounds and responsibilities. Having spaces where students and their children can spend time together creates a sense of belonging and allows our children to experience higher education alongside us. Being a UTEP student means knowing that my family is part of my educational journey, too.
