To me, being a UTEP student means more than attending classes. It also involves the everyday responsibilities of getting to campus and managing my time. This photograph captures one of UTEP's parking garages, reminding me how important accessible parking is for students who commute. As a nontraditional student and mother, balancing school, family responsibilities, and transportation requires planning. Having convenient, affordable, and safe parking can make a difference in our daily routines. I believe universities should recognize these challenges and continue improving parking accessibility for students with different responsibilities and schedules. Even something as simple as parking can influence how supported and included we feel as part of the UTEP community.
