A reclining adult figure occupies the canvas in a loose, expressive pose, rendered with energetic strokes of magenta, violet, blue, white, and ochre. The face is turned toward the viewer with a quiet, introspective expression, while broad scraped passages and exposed ground let the surrounding golden field break around the body. The deliberately unfinished contours and tilted presentation give the work the immediacy of a contemporary life study.
