Frog Above the Watchful Cat

A whimsical split-panel painting sets a spotted, pink-and-green frog riding a bicycle against a pale ground, while a large dark cat emerges from the neighboring field of black. The frog is rendered with lively contour lines and patterned color, contrasting with the cat’s layered gray fur, oversized amber eyes, and expressive whiskers. The unexpected pairing and close cropping give the work the feeling of a playful illustrated fable with a slightly mysterious edge.
