Koi Beneath Turquoise Water

A richly layered mixed-media pond scene places two white-and-red koi among floating lily pads, submerged stones, and rust-colored aquatic plants. Printed textures, translucent washes, transferred fragments, and hand-drawn marks build a tactile underwater world, while the fish’s crisp silhouettes provide a graceful focal movement through the densely patterned surface. The composition feels both naturalistic and dreamlike, with the water rendered as a shifting field of blue, teal, and mineral-like sediment.
