A Tapestry of Togetherness

A warmly hand-painted tableau gathers two wide-eyed children beneath a curling golden banner, surrounded by ornamental motifs, flowers, a dark domed form, a spotted red shape, and a small brown animal. Indonesian lettering arches across the upper portion, while simplified figures and bold outlined forms create the feeling of a celebratory cultural scene. The uneven brushwork, saturated reds and ochres, and intimate handmade character give the piece the directness of a community or school exhibition artwork.
