Butterfly Among Symbols

A dark, vertically framed drawing centers on a large symmetrical butterfly or moth, its four wings outlined in gray and patterned with small circular and linear marks. White, chalky strokes gather around the perimeter in looping, zigzagging, and architectural forms, creating a lively field of invented symbols against the charcoal ground. The hand-drawn irregularity and strong central symmetry give the piece the character of a personal emblem or contemporary talisman.
