Daughters Beneath the Script

A richly patterned figurative painting gathers four women in a close, intergenerational arrangement, their varied features, braided and flowing hair, jewelry, tattoos, and embroidered garments emphasizing distinct identities within a shared visual world. A reclining figure anchors the foreground while the central woman rises behind her, framed by sweeping Arabic calligraphy and a weathered, earthen backdrop. The flattened composition, direct gazes, ornamental clothing, and carefully modeled faces give the work the presence of a contemporary cultural portrait.
