Bronze Relics on Crimson

Đại Lê

Đại Lê’s practice moves between documentary photography, historical illustration, calligraphy, and fantasy image-making, with a recurring focus on Vietnamese landscapes, temples, material culture, and everyday objects. Fields, mountain shrines, coins, ceramics, and bronze relics are observed with direct framing and a tactile attention to weathered surfaces, while maps and storybook scenes extend this sense of place into narrative. The work feels both archival and inviting, preserving cultural detail while opening imaginative paths through it.
