The Rampart of Watchful Eyes

A playful black-ink drawing unfolds like a miniature architectural fantasy, with castle-like towers framing a sweeping diagonal ramp crowded by tiny helmeted figures. Above it, a large rounded, mask-like form peers across the scene with heavily outlined eyes and irregular toothlike shapes, while a striped central structure anchors the composition. Loose contours, inventive distortions, and handwritten annotation give the work the lively feel of a spontaneous sketchbook study.
