Sydney Sweeny

A boldly composed wartime propaganda poster presents a determined woman in a blue work shirt and polka-dot headscarf, meeting the viewer’s gaze as she raises a flexed arm. The oversized cream lettering and sweeping speech-banner shape dominate the upper field, while the saturated blue-and-yellow ground frames the figure with graphic clarity. Crisp contours, modeled facial features, and carefully rendered fabric give the printed design a polished, persuasive presence.
