Maira Pinto

Maira Pinto creates sharply cut digital composites that place stern male figures and oversized red roses in stark white spaces. Through direct gestures, controlled expressions, and exaggerated scale, she stages a playful yet confrontational tension between romance, command, and pop-cultural imagery. Her theatrical compositions transform simple visual contrasts into surreal narratives, inviting viewers into encounters that feel both iconic and unsettling.
