1944 — THE SYSTEM EXPANDS -Auschwitz-Birkenau becomes a large camp complex with barracks, fences, roads, and railway infrastructure. -Animal Farm: Napoleon has almost complete control over the animals. “Some animals are more equal than others.” 1945 — LIBERATION -Soviet troops liberate Auschwitz on January 27, 1945. -Animal Farm: The pigs become indistinguishable from the humans they once opposed. “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig.”
