Horse Emerging from Shadow

A powerful pale horse surges across a nearly black ground, its body illuminated in bruised blue-gray and amber light while a second, ghostlike form seems to echo behind it. Loose, gestural passages define the mane, muscular shoulders, and streaming tail, with visible drips extending the figure into the darkness. The theatrical cropping and compressed space give the painting a charged, dreamlike sense of motion and unease.
