Table of Ancient Forms

A carefully arranged tabletop still life presents a dense assortment of sculptural objects, bowls, vessels, masks, and carved plaques with Mesoamerican-inspired motifs. Weathered wood supports the collection in a nearly gridlike composition, while varied sizes and repeated faces, figures, and geometric patterns create a sense of archaeological abundance. Soft, subdued lighting emphasizes worn surfaces, mineral textures, and the quiet character of the assembled forms.
