Back to Bright Things

A playful mixed-media collage places a tall, angular paper figure in a warmly furnished living room, where its oversized geometric body overlaps the sofa, coffee table, and patterned floor. Blocks of navy, turquoise, orange, coral, cream, and green form a lively patchwork costume, while cutout speech fragments offer a gently motivational refrain about returning to school and focusing on joy. The contrast between the softly photographed domestic interior and the crisp, handmade figure gives the piece a whimsical, thoughtful character.
