Path Through the Darkwood

A storybook-like forest stretches toward a tall, pale castle beneath a stormy charcoal sky, while a small cloaked figure with yarn hair walks away along the winding stone path. Dense, carefully drawn trees create a tunnel of tangled branches and deep green undergrowth, and the surrounding frame extends the scene into a tactile assemblage of twigs and bundled fibers. The work carries the intimate, handmade character of contemporary folk art, with its fairytale setting balanced between invitation and unease.
