Lotus Under Evening Light

A hand-painted pond scene centers on a large pink water lily rising above layered blue ripples, its yellow heart set against pointed, individually articulated petals. Smaller blossoms and rounded lily pads recede toward a dark grassy bank, while scattered yellow flecks suggest fireflies or reflected light in the deep green background. Visible canvas texture, energetic linear marks, and simplified forms give the work a direct, intimate character reminiscent of a childlike or folk-inspired nature painting.
