Bird Among Textures

A stylized blue-and-orange bird stretches across a richly layered paper ground, its angular body assembled from painted fragments and bold black-and-white shapes. Surrounding panels of plaid, dotted grids, botanical motifs, stripes, and geometric prints create a quilt-like setting, while the bird’s long tail and branching perch lead the eye diagonally through the composition. The handmade edges and varied surface patterns give the piece a tactile, contemporary character.
