Allah Calligraphy, 2014

This circular canvas features elaborate Arabic calligraphy spelling "Allah" integrated seamlessly into a dense web of decorative patterns, bursting with a vibrant palette of red, yellow, orange, and green. Radial symmetry anchors the composition and pulls the viewer's eye directly to the central holy script, while swirling ukkil lines interweave with the lettering to create a continuous movement that fills the entire frame. The painting is a visual expression of spiritual devotion that honors the Islamic heritage of the southern Philippines, blending sacred Arabic script with indigenous ukkil motifs to symbolize the harmonious fusion of faith and regional identity. The piece stands as a masterful triumph of cultural and religious synthesis expressed through fine art, using a brilliant orchestration of color and line to create a powerful, joyful sense of spiritual energy.
