Weathered Guardian

A small, upright animal-headed figure stands in profile on a broad, irregular base. Its elongated body and folded, robe-like forms recall an Egyptian guardian or funerary statuette, while the softly modeled features keep the character tactile and handmade. A mottled blue-green surface, marked by darker recesses and worn edges, gives the piece the presence of an excavated relic against its stark white setting.
