Face Behind the Grid

A monochrome, heavily worked portrait emerges through a fractured grid of pale lines, its oversized eyes and angular features creating an intense, mask-like presence. Broad dragged strokes, scraped passages, and layered black, white, and gray paint give the surface a tactile, almost mural-like energy, while the segmented composition turns the face into a field of shifting planes. The direct gaze feels mysterious and slightly dreamlike, suspended between human portraiture and expressive abstraction.
