A close-cropped digital portrait presents a smiling, bearded subject in a bright blue knit beanie, with pale glowing eyes and a pencil appearing to pass behind the head as a playful visual illusion. The near-square frontal composition fills the frame with the face, while the dark surroundings and subdued lighting heighten the comic, slightly uncanny effect.
