Orbit of Black Petals

A circular black-and-white composition unfurls from an off-center void, its dense ring of fine marks opening into long, tapering forms that read as petals, flames, or currents in rotation. The work relies on stark contrast and disciplined patterning, with the radial structure creating both order and instability as the heavier black shapes surge outward across the disc. Its pared-down surface and graphic force give the piece a meditative intensity, somewhere between botanical abstraction and a cosmic diagram.
