White Tides of Script

An all-white relief composition transforms flowing calligraphic forms into a field of movement, where sweeping ribbons rise from a textured ground like currents crossing a quiet sea. The piece relies on shallow shadow and subtle surface variation rather than color, inviting close attention to the carved or built-up contours, the cracked and scraped passages beneath them, and the steady rhythm that carries the eye diagonally across the work. Its restraint gives the abstraction a contemplative presence while preserving the physicality of the material.
