This artwork symbolizes growth and new beginnings as the flower blooms from its stalk. It has the kind of colours that resonate warmth and belonging. The flower is ephemeral, and I was given more reason to savour its value. Creating the stalk was the most difficult because it had different colours, and trying to match that level of artistry and blending your own colours was time-consuming. I’m proud of the amount of detail I put in and acknowledging art to my fullest potential makes me euphoric. I didn’t know I had it in me until today. I would improve by controlling my watercolour to get the tones I need to get.
