Birkenwald

A dense field of overlapping leaves fills the composition, their pointed forms drifting across a dark, textured ground like fragments caught in suspended motion. Pale ochres, smoky whites, olive browns, and occasional flashes of yellow emerge from the shadowed surface, while vertical scraped marks suggest bark, rain, or a hidden architectural structure beneath the foliage. The work balances recognizable botanical forms with an almost abstract, immersive sense of pattern and depth.
