Threads Around a Quiet Face

A serene, mask-like face anchors a dense relief assemblage of white molded fragments, found objects, and raised geometric forms. Fine red threads radiate and knot around the head, cutting across the pale field like a web of thought or circuitry, while several vivid red blocks punctuate the otherwise restrained surface. The frontal symmetry of the face contrasts with the surrounding accumulation, giving the work a contemplative center within an environment of tension and disorder.
