A grainy monochrome portrait presents a young-looking person in a collared shirt, facing the viewer with a calm, slightly distant expression. Horizontal scan lines and soft focus give the work the character of an aged television still or reproduced photograph, while dark handwritten notes cross the shirt and lower foreground, partially obscuring the figure and adding an intimate, archival quality.
