City Above the Chasm

A spare black-ink drawing imagines a compact city perched on a broad platform above a deep, fissured gorge. Tiny buildings, towers, cranes, suspended supports, and drifting birds animate the skyline, while long angular cliff faces descend into the largely untouched paper below. The handmade line work gives the scene the feeling of an architectural daydream or speculative-world sketch, balancing whimsical invention with vertiginous scale.
