Compass of Confusion

A stark ink drawing presents a cluster of thick, hand-drawn arrows pointing in conflicting directions, arranged like a diagram without a clear center or destination. The isolated forms and handwritten notes, including “TAN” and “INKTOBER 19 X CONFUSED,” turn everyday directional language into a dry visual joke about uncertainty. Set on a roughly cut sheet of white paper against a dark wooden surface, the work has the immediate, intimate character of a sketchbook exercise.
