Offering in Darkness

Warm, earth-toned painted hands meet at the center of a nearly black field, their palms turned upward as if sheltering a cluster of small pale blossoms. Rounded forearms extend outward in a winglike sweep, while highlighted knuckles, creases, and fingertips give the central gesture a tactile presence. The stark isolation of the figure against the dark ground lends the work a quiet, symbolic gravity.
