A solitary, bowed figure emerges from a murky olive ground, its head and shoulders obscured beneath heavy blue and charcoal drapery. The form sits or rests above a rough, blocklike base, while flashes of turquoise, green, and ochre break through the dark surface. Broad, weathered marks and scraped passages give the painting a worn, introspective presence, balanced between recognizable figuration and abstraction.
