Beyond One Face

This artwork explores the idea that identity is not fixed or singular, but layered and constantly evolving. Through fragmented sections of the same face, it reflects the different emotions, perspectives, and versions of self that exist within one person. Each piece captures a slightly different expression, suggesting that who we are can shift depending on our experiences, environment, and inner thoughts. The composition invites the viewer to question the idea of a “true” self, showing instead that identity is complex, multifaceted, and always in the process of being reconstructed. Created using pencil crayon, the medium adds softness and depth, allowing subtle variations in tone and texture to bring each fragment to life. This enhances the sense of individuality within each section while still uniting them into one cohesive whole—symbolizing that even in our differences, we remain one person beyond just one face.
