Crimson Light, Broken Ground

A tall abstract composition stages a collision between deep burgundy planes, blazing yellow fields, and sharp interruptions of white. Broad, energetic marks build an unstable architecture of diagonal wedges and irregular blocks, while softer reddish smudges gather near the lower center like traces of smoke or shadow. The narrow vertical format intensifies the upward thrust of the forms, giving the work a charged, almost elemental presence.
