A candid documentary photograph captures a smiling child standing before a classroom or gallery display, where circular handmade masks assemble mismatched eyes, ears, noses, and mouths into playful human faces. The child’s lively expression contrasts with the masks’ still, slightly uncanny gazes, while the white wall, labels, and partial neighboring artwork place the scene within an informal exhibition.
