Lichen in Quiet Light

A close, vertical study of lichen-covered branches rises against a broad white field, where negative space becomes as active as the foliage itself. Fine, vein-like linework maps each frilled edge, while translucent yellow-green passages suggest sunlight passing through delicate growth. The piece feels suspended between botanical observation and abstraction: dense clustered forms gather at the lower left, then loosen into airy fragments and a single thin stem that draws the eye upward.
