Tree Between Fire and Tide

Acrylic on canvas · Surrealism

A solitary tree rises from a swirling, almost elemental ground, its trunk twisting upward in sculptural curves while dense red and crimson foliage blooms against a divided field of light and shadow. The left side opens into a luminous, sunlike vortex of cream and gold, while the right deepens into dark teal and near-black, giving the work the feeling of standing at a threshold between warmth and abyss. Thick, tactile surface handling lends the bark and surrounding currents a carved, molten quality, and the entire composition arcs diagonally upward, drawing the eye from the glowing earth at the base to the radiant crown.
