Graphite Fish in Motion

A hand-drawn graphite study presents a large fish in side profile, its body sweeping diagonally across the paper toward a sharply articulated tail. Dark contour lines define the fins, eye, gill, and streamlined silhouette, while soft pencil shading gives volume to the torso and emphasizes the creature’s flowing movement. The broad, lightly modeled forms and visible construction marks retain the directness of a personal sketchbook study.
