A Bird Above the Battlefield

A childlike anti-war drawing stages a chaotic battlefield beneath a pale sky, with burning tanks, airborne projectiles, marching soldiers, and a fallen figure scattered across the paper. At the center, a large yellow birdlike form rises above a dark, upturned hand, creating a striking symbol of intervention or fragile hope amid the conflict. Bold outlines, simplified anatomy, and hand-colored forms give the work the direct emotional force of a personal statement.
