A lively hand-drawn scene presents a uniformed soldier beneath a bright sun, surrounded by a national flag, aircraft, tanks, missiles, a ship, and a pier extending into blue water. Strong black contours and filled-in blocks of color give the work the directness of a child’s poster, while the clustered military imagery and cheerful landscape create a spirited, patriotic tableau.
