Banner Beneath the Rising Sun

A hand-drawn civic tableau shows clustered, heavily outlined figures gathered beneath a large red, white, and black flag raised on a slender pole. Behind them, a broad yellow-orange arc fills the sky like a blazing sun, while dark silhouettes anchor the foreground and give the scene the gravity of a commemorative poster or political illustration. Loose colored-pencil or crayon marks sit alongside emphatic black ink contours, creating an earnest, handmade sense of resolve.
