The Red Shoe Landing

A playful, surreal battle scene places a colossal red, white, and black sneaker above a small landing craft crowded with helmeted soldiers. The boat advances through bright blue water toward a sandy shoreline marked by tiny marching figures, while smoke, aircraft silhouettes, and distant bursts of activity fill the sky. Broad outlined forms, simplified anatomy, and deliberately exaggerated scale give the painting the character of a hand-painted graphic illustration, balancing wartime drama with absurd visual humor.
