Garden of Many Eyes

A richly detailed figurative painting centers on a calm, direct-gazing face partially veiled by an exuberant crown of tropical leaves, mushrooms, flowers, insects, and reptilian forms. Strong outlines and layered, graphic brushwork give the composition the energy of an illustrated botanical vision, while the surrounding moss-covered wooden frame extends the sense of an enclosed, living habitat. The clustered forms create a theatrical portrait that feels both celebratory and faintly uncanny.
