Garden of Wild Encounters

A richly layered figurative painting presents a woman's calm, luminous face emerging from an exuberant garden of mushrooms, tropical leaves, flowers, butterflies, frogs, and beetles. Bold outlines and carefully modeled facial features give the portrait a graphic, contemporary character, while the surrounding creatures press toward the edges in a dense, almost emblematic arrangement. The unusual companionship of beauty and strange natural forms creates a vivid, dreamlike sense of discovery.
