Quartet on a Branch

Four vividly rendered songbirds gather along a dark, angular branch, their varied plumage—fiery orange, cobalt blue, lemon yellow, and muted cream—set against a lively field of scraped marks, drips, splatters, and translucent washes. The birds receive careful attention in their eyes, feathers, and overlapping silhouettes, while the energetic background loosens into gestural abstraction, giving the small gathering a bright, almost celebratory presence.
